Seven metres of uninterrupted span (or line) without pillars<\/span><\/span><\/h3><\/div><\/div><\/div>

The team of architects at Espaziona presented us with a project where the essential element was to maintain the porch space completely open. They didn’t want any visual obstructions at the front. The problem arose because to extend the terrace by more than seven metres in length, it seemed necessary to place an intermediate pillar. Or perhaps not. With Kauma, they knew they would find the technical solution they were looking for for their client: to create an outdoor terrace protected from the cold and wind in winter and the heat in summer, without sacrificing the views of the garden they had from inside.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>

THE KAUMA SOLUTION<\/span><\/span><\/div>

Double beam,<br>double strength.<\/span><\/span><\/h3><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Utilising the existing floor slab and to avoid the central pillars, we opted to design a double perimeter beam along the top of the Nimbo bioclimatic pergola. From inside, this double height is completely imperceptible, and from outside, the feeling of robustness of the structure looks exceptionally elegant. <\/p>\n

To make the most of the space regardless of the weather outside, the perimeter of the pergola was designed to be enclosed with glass curtains. In this case, the Parallel 150 model was chosen because its wide panels (up to 1500 mm wide) enhance the feeling of spaciousness without visual obstructions. <\/p>\n

Without a doubt, the combination of a bioclimatic pergola and glass enclosure creates a space for the whole family to enjoy in this house in Seville.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
